The traditional involving the concept of best-fit tensor, e.g. a tensor minimises misfit between calculated and measured fault-striae data, often risks computing artificial tensors some form average mixed sets real tensors. A new proposed in fault data pre-processed group on basis their response all possible orientations magnitudes applied stress. computer method described utilises cluster analysis based right-dihedra divide dynamically-mixed populations monophase subsets. This division ranked similarity coefficients each pair from raw set. clusters dynamically-homogeneous subsets, used for composite solution. solution re-computed reduced defined by orientation principal axes ratio magnitudes.
