摘要: Abstract This paper explores how Greece’s household consumption has changed between 1990 and 2006 its environmental implications in terms of fossil fuel demand carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. The results show that the 44% increase expenditure was accompanied by a 67% demand. Of this total, indirect accounted for approximately 60% throughout 16-year period, increasing 56% overall, whereas direct grew 80%. also associated CO2 emissions increased 60%, resulting “relative decoupling” from energy relative decoupling is shown to be due mix changes supply side rather than action consumers. These insights highlight opportunities demand-side policies further reduce emissions, allowing Greece set more proactive ambitious post-Kyoto targets.
