摘要: Vascular phantoms are well regarded as essential experimental tools in the development of new ultrasound techniques for assessing wall mechanics and blood flow. However, existing ill-suited evaluation integrative imaging methods that seek to concurrently assess biomechanics hemodynamics. Here, we present a novel design protocol acoustically-compatible anthropomorphic walled with artery-like vessel elasticity carotid bifurcation stenotic-narrowing. Our involved set three-dimensional printed mold parts (consisted core an outer mold) investment casting polyvinyl alcohol solution construct elastic tube. Agar-gelatin slab was formed around tube mimicking surrounding tissue. For demonstration, healthy stenosed (25%, 50%, 75%) were developed. Imaging experiments performed on these visualize complex flow (recirculation jet formation observed) pulse wave dynamics (derived velocity = 4.67 ± 0.71 m/s). Integrative motion our also revealed fluid-structure interaction differences between diseased models. These findings show developed useful vascular studies individually or jointly dynamics. formati...
