摘要: Reducing the power consumption of computing devices has gained a lot attention recently. Many research works have focused on reducing in off-chip buses as they consume significant amount total power. Since bus is proportional to switching activity, an effective way reduce While numerous techniques exist for address buses, only handful been proposed data-bus reduction, where frequent value encoding (FVE) best existing scheme transition activity data buses.In this article, we propose improved bus-encoding aimed at more and, hence, consumption. We three new schemes and five variations exploit bit-wise temporal spatial locality values. Our just use one external control signal capture efficiently encode For all embedded SPEC applications tested, overall average reduction 53p over unencoded 10p than conventional FVE scheme.
