摘要: Summary As design for recycling becomes more broadly applied in material and product design, analytical tools to quantify the environmental implications of choices will become a necessity. Currently, few systematic methods exist measure direct metallurgical alloy process create alloys that are most able be produced from scrap. This is due, part, difficulty evaluating such context-dependent property as recyclability an alloy, which depend on types scraps available producers, compositional characteristics those scraps, their yield, specification itself. article explores use chance-constrained based optimization model, similar models used operational planning secondary production today, (1) characterize challenge developing recycling-friendly due contextual sensitivity recycling, (2) demonstrate how can evaluate potential scrap usage alloys, (3) explore value analysis information proactively identify effective modifications drive increased use. These objectives demonstrated through two cases involve broad range utilizing representative three classes industrial end uses.
