Investigating the adsorption of the amino acid L‐cysteine onto Ag(110)

摘要: The adsorption of the amino acid L-cysteine (L-Cys) onto Ag(110) surface at room temperature is investigated using reflection anisotropy spectroscopy (RAS). L-Cys metal surfaces offers a route to immobilisation proteins with potential applications in nanoscale fabrication biomaterial surfaces. binds strongly by formation thiolate linkage. Heating saturated 580 K results decomposition adsorbate, leaving chemisorbed S adlayer c (8 × 2) structure. (© 2005 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
