摘要: Abstract As an abundant and fast-growing biomass, bamboo can be used as construction materials owing to its desirable physical mechanical properties, environmentally friendly features, alternative replace toxic hazardous wastes in industrial processing. In this study, grid material made from (termed ‘bamboo grid’) was developed compared commercially polyvinyl chloride (PVC) packing cooling towers; PVC has drawbacks such fouling, deposit buildup, low durability, is harmful environments. The capacity, energy efficiency environmental impact of were evaluated via life cycle assessment (LCA), particularly the cumulative demand (CED) Building for Environmental Economic Sustainability (BEES). Although thermal performance found higher than that packing, showed improved resistance characteristic, recording a total saving 529.2 tons standard coal during six-month field test real power generation plant. LCA results revealed utilization bamboo-grid towers reduced CED 3420 MJ 561 MJ per functional unit, achieving 6 times reduction. A reduction ranging 1.5 10.5 also recorded BEES indices. This comparison analysis confirmed improvement by using towers. major (BEES) indices (e.g., Global warming potential, Acidification, Eutrophication Smog) 1.5–10.5 use grid. demonstrate good existing concrete are human health
