摘要: This chapter summarizes the state-of-the-art knowledge on degradation modes of Ti and biomedically relevant Ti-based alloys. First, general aspects passivity as well special corrosion passive are shortly described. Then, influence alloying electrochemical dissolution is summarized, emphasizing specific for biomedical application. Degradation materials in applications can, addition to purely chemical or processes, be strongly influenced by mechanical/tribological processes. Therefore, tribocorrosion alloys In addition, role biological environment process discussed. Moreover, a short discussion some implant design-related provided.
