摘要: Measurements of equivalent black carbon (EBC), calculated from aethalometer measurements light attenuation, were carried out in July 2011 at Ny-Alesund the Arctic. Highly elevated EBC concentrations observed within settlement Ny-Alesund, with a median value 17 ng m −3 , which was about two times background level. Results ensemble empirical mode decomposition method suggested that 60–80% atmospheric local emissions, while only 20–40% arrived via transport. The estimated average emission rate 8.1 g h −1 an uncertainty approximately factor two. pollution plume confined to 10 km downwind settlement, total deposition be 6.4–44 −2 . This may affect snow (BC) nearby glaciated areas. efficiencies long-range transport based on cluster analysis and potential precipitation contribution function, results implied western Europe is more efficient than central Russia, account relatively rapid infrequent along this route. However, there no correlation between air mass back-trajectories concentrations, suggesting measured might not significant season.
