摘要: The aim of this research is to help reduce the share cast slabs with extensive macrostructural defects by changing structure and control system straightener drive. article describes results a passive experiment. On basis these results, requirements have been formulated drive, philosophy developed new functional block diagram proposed. study has carried out for curve-type continuous caster operated one major Russian steel producers. experimental involved statistical analysis pinch roll drive load sharing data registered current monitoring system, as well provided sample testing laboratory on main internal found in slabs. theoretical included application analytical numerical solutions algebraic equations, structural modelling. were tested prototype electric rolls. authors offer some recommendations design automatic rolls installed horizontal section secondary cooling zone, which also include technique calculating torques rolls, algorithm zone. An average 50% improvement seen between drives maximum axial stresses slab reduced four times. There an 16% macrostructure all types 13% terms defects.
