摘要: The electrical conductivity of extruded carbon fiber (CF)/Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) composites with controlled CF aspect ratio and filler fractions ranging from 0 to 50 vol. % has been investigated analyzed. were through a capillary rheometer, utilizing either 1-mm or 3-mm diameter extrusion dies, resulting in cylindrical composite filaments two different diameters. Since the average orientation becomes more aligned flow when dies decreases, relationship between could therefore be examined. room temperature conductivities as function fitted McLachlan general effective medium (GEM) equation percolation thresholds determined 20.0 ± 2.5 32.0 5.9 for (with CFs oriented less) more) filaments, respectively. It turned out that shift threshold higher value, however, above is CFs. A novel approach based on Balberg excluded volume theory was proposed explain this counterintuitive phenomenon.
