摘要: A new aerial system of very high resolving power has been designed for use in determining the distribution radio brightness across solar disk at a wavelength 21 cm. Thirty-two aerials with paraboloidal reflectors are evenly spaced an east-west direction over distance about 700 ft., and connected by branching balanced open-wire transmission lines to receiver. The produces multiple beams each 3' arc wide 1.7° apart. rotation Earth causes one after another scan Sun. record obtained from receiver gives one-dimensional disk.
