摘要: Abstract Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are key molecules in the innate immune system central nervous system. Although astrocytes believed to play physiological roles regulating neuronal activity and synaptic transmission, activated may also be toxic neurons. Here, we show that ligands for TLRs 2, 4, 5 6 induce cell death neuron–astrocytes co-cultures through production of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Inhibition ROS by NADPH oxidase inhibitor apocynin significantly suppresses death. induced via involved neuroinflammation a therapeutic target neurotoxicity astrocytes.
