摘要: Diabetes mellitus is a heterogenous group of metabolic disorders characterized by elevated serum glucose levels resulting from defects in insulin production, action, or combination. Complications include retinopathy, nephropathy, and neuropathy. The two main types diabetes are Type1 insulin-dependent the destruction insulin-producing beta cells pancreas creating absolute need for exogenous Type2 non-insulin-dependent associated with an older age, obesity, physical inactivity, family history. increasingly being diagnosed children adolescents. has been implicated as single largest cause end-stage renal disease, reason non-traumatic amputation, independent risk factor cardiovascular disease [1]. Nearly one-third diabetic patients have some type dermatologic manifestation. With time, skin all affected form another. Cutaneous signs extremely valuable to clinician. For example, bullae, dermopathy, necrobiosis lipoidica diabeticorum, scleroderma-like syndrome waxy limited joint mobility can alert physician diagnosis [2,3]. Eruptive xanthomas reflect status lipid metabolism. This review will focus on clinical features, pathogenesis, treatment strategies cutaneous manifestations diabetes.
