摘要: Phylogeographic studies of different montane biological groups in Mexico have revealed complex patterns a broad scale but an absence genetic structure within local mountain systems such as the Sierra Madre Occidental. In this study, we estimate and demographic history endemic land snail Humboldtiana durangoensis range. Nine polymorphic microsatellite loci 178 individuals from 16 localities throughout complete geographic distribution were analyzed. Strong deviations Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium low levels heterozygosity detected seven clusters. The gene flow between two main regions (North South) was symmetric (≈4 individuals). addition, analysis changes effective population size indicating that both experienced drastic reduction their probably associated with Pleistocene climatic changes.
