摘要: Abstract We analyzed the effects of clay layers on barrier properties polymer/clay nanocomposites containing impermeable and oriented layers. Using relative permeability theory in combination with detour theory, we obtained new expressions that allow us to investigate Rp as a function lateral separation b, layer thickness w, gallery height H, length L, volume fraction Φs. It was found intercalated and/or incomplete exfoliated structures dispersed tactoids several can effectively enhance materials. Furthermore, developed chain-segment immobility factor briefly discuss chain confinement from The results showed enhanced nanocomposites. Our model is better consistent experiments when Φs>0.01. findings provide guidelines for tailoring length, dispersion fabricating polymer–clay nanocomposite unique properties.
