Arc_Mat: a Matlab-based spatial data analysis toolbox

摘要: This article presents an overview of Arc_Mat, a Matlab-based spatial data analysis software package whose source code has been placed in the public domain. An earlier version Arc_Mat toolbox was developed to extract map polygon and database information from ESRI shapefiles provide high quality mapping Matlab environment. We discuss revisions that: utilize enhanced computing graphing capabilities more recent versions Matlab, restructure with object-oriented programming features, comprehensive functions for analysis. The functionality includes basic choropleth mapping; exploratory that provides views through various graphs, example, histogram, Moran scatterplot, three-dimensional density distribution plot, parallel coordinate plots; formal modeling draws on extensive Spatial Econometrics Toolbox functions. A brief review design aspects revised is described, we some illustrative examples highlight representative uses toolbox. Finally, customizing functionalities.
