摘要: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common cause of dementia affecting 36 million people worldwide. As demographic transition in developed countries progresses towards older population, worsening ratio workers per retirees and growing number patients with age-related illnesses such as AD will challenge current healthcare systems national economies. For these reasons has been identified a health priority, various methods for diagnosis many candidates therapies are under intense research. Even though there currently no cure AD, its effects can be managed. Today significance early precise emphasized order to minimize irreversible on nervous system. When new drugs enter market it also vital effectively identify right benefit from these. The main objective PredictAD project was find integrate efficient biomarkers heterogeneous patient data make monitor progress more efficient, reliable manner. focused discovering biomolecular data, electrophysiological measurements brain structural, functional molecular images. We designed built statistical model framework exploiting other available history background data. were able discover several potential novel biomarker implement software. results used research projects, licensed commercial use being tested clinical trials.
