摘要: Finding nodes occupying interesting positions in a graph is useful to extract meaningful information from large datasets. While numerous measures have been proposed evaluate the centrality of nodes, few indicators quantify capacity connect different regions graph. Usually, betweenness used for this purpose, but we show here that it gives equal scores “local” centers (i.e. high degree central single region) and “global” bridges, which regions. This distinction important because roles these are quite diverse. For example, networks scientific collaborations, local correspond sub-discipline, while bridges sub-disciplines, leading interdisciplinary collaborations. We new measure network topology, bridgeness, able discriminate between global synthetic real networks.
