摘要: Certain subgroups of sexual minority individuals have higher prevalence rates alcohol, nicotine, and illicit drug use disorders, compared to their heterosexual counterparts. Moreover, previous findings indicate that are more likely than enter treatment with severe substance problems. Work examines explanations for these disparities highlights the potential inform targeted intervention efforts. Unfortunately, relatively few LGB-tailored interventions been conducted, those do not support tailored efficacious generalized interventions. Nevertheless, target LGB may be beneficial in generating initial interest enrollment reducing concerns typically hinder from seeking treatment.
