摘要: Data are presented on aspects of the group structure and social behaviour warthogs Phacochoerus aethiopicus (Pallas, 1767) in Andries Vosloo Kudu Reserve (AVKR), Eastern Cape Province, South Africa. The is one small groups, usually solitary males or bachelor matriarchal groups consisting adult females with juveniles and/or yearlings, yearling groups. Mean size was 2.21. Forty five percent sighted were solitary. There a seasonal variation mean size. Differences interactions between various age sex classes described. Breeding AVKR coming into oestrus at end May farrowing towards November. mating system promiscuous roaming during season, numerous females, more than male. Non-offspring nursing occurred.
