摘要: The GACA/GATA famiily of repetitive DNA sequences is ubiquitous in animal genomes and highly variable both within among species. We examined variation the distribution a GACA tandem repeat natural populations Trinidad guppy (Poecilia reticulata). fingerprints individuals from eight collected revealed differentiation between populations. Individuals drawn same population shared 48% their bands on average; whereas different river only 25%. Further rivers drainages could not be quantified.
