摘要: The first developmental scheme for the anglerfish Lophius americanus is described. stages of embryonic and larval development are based on 'defining characters'; other aspects described as 'concurrent characters' (in sense Shardo 1995). embryo phase in 1–16; yolk-sac larva 17–21; feeding 22–26. Stages 9–23 defined by specimens from a series collected author; remaining through analysis museum descriptions previous literature. L. compared to those frogfish Antennarius striatus (Antennariidae: Lophiiformes), only which there published stages. Landmarks two species used basis comparative study. Two new putative synapomorphies Lophiiformes, spinous dorsal fin, proposed: (1) pterygiophores fin develop single condensation tissue that later divides or separates into independent pterygiophores; (2) pterygiophore supports both (the luring apparatus) second spines. This results lack division anteriormost development. These characters supported evidence literature but require further study more lophiiforms.
