摘要: This report is part of an annual series that presents current and historical information on the production, trade, consumption, prices timber products in United States. The focuses national statistics, but includes some data for individual States regions Canada. were collected from industry trade associations government agencies. They are intended use by forest land managers, industries, associations, forestry schools, renewable resource organizations, libraries, individuals major producing consuming countries world, general public. A presented here tracking technological change over time. One technology shifts occurring wood-using substitution oriented strandboard (OSB) plywood structural panel sector, as well a shift production west to south Some show these shifts. panels totaled 29.4 billion ft2 1999. Production OSB increased less than 3 1985 11.6 Plywood was 20.1 before falling 17.8 decline reflects continued increase share traditional market
