摘要: Temperature is one of the most important factors affecting life insects [1]. For instance, high temperatures can have deleterious effects on insects' physiology. Therefore, many them developed various strategies to avoid risk thermal stress [2]. They seek a fresher environment or adjust their water loss, but hematophagous insects, such as mosquitoes, must confront issue at each feeding event warm-blooded host [3]. To better understand what extent mosquitoes are exposed while feeding, we conducted real-time infrared thermographic analysis mosquitoes' body temperature during both warm blood and sugar solution. First, our results highlighted differences in between parts mosquito (i.e., heterothermy) intake, not meals. We also found that anopheline decrease thanks evaporative cooling fluid droplets, which excreted maintained end abdomen. This mechanism protects insect itself, probably well sheltered microorganisms, symbionts parasites, from stress. These findings constitute first evidence thermoregulation among explain paradox fresh excretion feeding.
