摘要: Abstract Active periglacial processes are currently marginal in the Iberian Peninsula, spatially limited to highest mountain ranges. However, a wide variety of deposits and landforms distributed low mid-altitude environments, which shows evidence past periods enhanced activity. The purpose this paper is summarize present knowledge activity Peninsula. chronological framework takes four main stages into account: last glaciation, deglaciation, Holocene present-day processes. This study focuses on massifs (Pyrenees, Cantabrian Range, NW ranges, Central Sierra Nevada) as well other lower elevation namely central Meseta. During glaciation belt extended much altitudes than today, reaching current sea level corner A range geomorphological sedimentary records indicative very active during that phase, some cases related permafrost conditions (i.e., block streams, rock glaciers). Most inactive mid-elevations Iberia also phase. massive deglaciation was caused by gradual increase temperatures. phase only interrupted short period with colder (the Younger Dryas) reactivated formerly glaciated cirques lands, specifically widespread development glaciers. Holocene, have been shifting altitude according temperature regimes moisture conditions. Little Ice Age saw reactivation elevations today. Currently, exceeding 2500 m southern ranges above 2000–2200 m northern massifs, higher Nevada, south
