摘要: Glycosides are prepared from a source of saccharide moiety and an alcohol in the presence hydrophobic acid catalyst. An example such catalyst is dinonylnaphthalenemonosulfonic acid. The use catalysts provides number process advantages, which include reduced production polar by-products. Preferred glycosides produced by higher alkyl useful as surfactants.
