摘要: A wireless network access device includes a radio and support for virtual points. According to the invention, each point has an independently configurable quality-of-service profile. The per-VAP QoS enables multiple services be delivered from single physical point. plurality of transmit/receive queues are associated with (VAP) configured on device. Each queue in is given level, such as (in decreasing order priority): voice, video, best effort data, background data. further data transfer mechanism form packet forwarding engine that, VAP, transfers enforce policy.
