摘要: Using copper (Cu) to treat algal blooms is a commonly accepted method worldwide. However, the release of Cu may cause environmental and health risk. It required exploit an efficient way reduce concentration but improve algicidal effectiveness. Here, ionization cell (CIC) was designed utilized in flow-through system for inactivation two bloom-forming microalgae species, Chlorella vulgaris Microcystis aeruginosa. The results showed that in-situ CIC treatment inactivation. 96 h-growth inhibition C. M. aeruginosa reached 98.5 ± 3.1 % 75.9 2.0 at flow rate 5 mL/min with effluent 554 9 μg/L 613 17 μg/L, respectively. maximum quantum yield (Fv/Fm) inhibitions were 37.0 1.6 70.9 2.1 %. electric field enhanced has locally higher level because release. improved performance by increasing membrane permeability excessive uptake. energy consumption only 16.8 J/L. this work provides more environment-friendly cost-effective prospect.
