摘要: Significant technical limitations inherent in black-body infrared technology used conventional sidestream and mainstream capnography have hindered the acceptance growth of as a monitoring tool outside operating room environment. We describe new (Microstream) for CO2 monitoring, based on molecular correlation spectroscopy, which results highly efficient selective emission spectrum discrete wavelengths exactly matching those absorption. The specific emissions allow an extremely small sample cell (15 microl), turn, permits use very low flow rate (50 ml/min) without compromising waveform integrity or end-tidal accuracy. Design features source, cell, breath sampling circuits are described.
