摘要: Symbiobacterium thermophilum is a strictly symbiotic thermophile, the growth of which dependent on coexistence an associating thermophilic Bacillus sp., strain S. grows only in mixed culture with liquid media, and does not form visible colonies solid media. To measure this bacterium to analyze its requirements, we developed quantitative PCR method by using specific sequences putative membrane translocator gene tnaT as primers. According method, independent was first confirmed dialyzing physically separated from S cellulose membrane. Independent also managed adding conditioned medium prepared filtrate strain, but stopped at very limited extent appearance filamentous cells, suggesting uncoupling cellular cell division. Formation micro-colonies observed agar under both aerobic anaerobic conditions, colony-forming efficiencies remained below 1%. Several other bacterial species, such stearothermophilus, subtilis, Thermus thermophilus, even Escherichia coli, were found support thermophilum. These results indicate that essentially requires some ubiquitous metabolite(s) low molecular weight produced various species factor(s) living partner cells still required, probably maintain effective level medium.
