摘要: Abstract Peri-urbanisation is a dynamic process consisting primarily of the expansion artificial areas into natural, semi-natural, and agricultural areas. This reduces peri-urban open spaces, thus it threatening biodiversity hampers provision ecosystem services. In this manuscript, we introduced concept spaces exemplified on level regional policy-making in following six European case study regions: Basque Country (Spain), Flanders (Belgium), Gorenjska (Slovenia), Hajdu-Bihar (Hungary), Mazovia (Poland), Saxony-Anhalt (Germany). Our aimed (1) to analyse land cover changes related regions, (2) identify classify policy improvements that are useful protect (3) provide recommendations for instruments improve protection spaces. We designed mixed-method approach combining Geographical Information Systems, an explorative questionnaire, semi-quantitative survey fulfil our research aims. results showed decreasing all regions but with different scale dynamics over time. Mostly (non-irrigated) arable was transformed non-peri-urban space. Moreover, 15 suitable support at policy-making. indicated potential improving regulatory usefulness multi-level governance better address level.
