摘要: The Australian government produces an independent report on the state of environment every five years. Based 123 assessments key pressures, components marine environment, and effectiveness management responses to those 2016 assessment identified that overall can be regarded as good. However, historical impacts a number pressures (e.g. commercial recreational fishing) ongoing caused by activities currently inadequately managed climate change debris) have, are continuing to, deteriorate its state. As result, outlook for mixed. Addressing challenges facing will require coordinated, collaborative dedicated effort across jurisdictions sectors. A improvements framework were implemented report, most substantial being development clear repeatable processes information synthesis assessment. This improved transparency supported robustness conclusions made. Improved communication uncertainties associated with assessments, comparability in previous reports has furthered quality laid foundation going forward. Processes continue improve include identifying indicators reliably effectively monitored, improving data provision processes, enhancing frameworks reporting ensure approaches integrated support delivery tangible practical risk mitigation adaptation pathways.
