摘要: We consider a networked system of sensors that measure the intensity source amidst background inside two-dimensional monitoring area. The decays away from it, and corresponding sensor measurements are random with parameter determined by at location. detection problem is to infer presence based on measurements. Under statistical independence condition, we show method maximum likelihood fuser performs below individual in network losses. It has been previously shown localization using multiple leads an improved detection, thereby establishing effectiveness over single or co-located sensors. communication losses degrade such performance, particularly levels under heavy fairly general conditions decay functions underlying measurement distributions, quantify loss performance localization-based as function rate packing number state space. present simulation experimental results illustrate degradations due detecting radiation sources.
