Preparing Students for a New Global Age: Perspectives from a Pioneer ‘Future School’ in Singapore

摘要: Globally, Singaporean students have performed well. According to the 2012 Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), ranked second worldwide in Mathematics and third Science Reading. These also excelled thinking creatively solve problems real-world contexts. They were first PISA computer-based assessment of Problem Solving. But topping rankings is no guarantee success life at work. Given that world future going be volatile, uncertain, complex ambiguous, policy makers school leaders alike sensed schools Singapore need develop with capacity think, feel, act agility (Heng, 2013).
