Design considerations with zinc coated steel and zinc castings

摘要: Abstract Zinc castings and the various types of zinc coated steel all have different design considerations. Thick coatings applied by hot dipping, sheradizing or spraying are usually a final operation after fabrication. Continuously sheet wire has virtually same flexibility as uncoated but with longer life to first maintenance treatment. With castings, technical development in pressure die casting process — notably ability make thin complex dimensional shapes means that can often economically replace an assembly pressings. This article describes some considerations for each group materials examples from practice.
