摘要: Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) are solution-based methods that can be used to analyze determine molecular structure. Here, we review the use of NMR SAXS for structural analysis RNA molecules, with a focus on RNAs involved in translational control. Practical considerations, experimental requirements, data discussed. We also recently developed hybrid approach combines SAXS. The NMR-SAXS shows great promise expanding scope biophysical studies biological molecules solution. Finally, examples these applied systems such as programmed ribosomal frameshift sites, internal ribosome entry ribosome-binding elements, thermometers, riboswitches.
