Trends in the incidence of childhood-onset diabetes in Europe 1989-1998.

摘要: Aims/hypothesis: To study the epidemiology of childhood-onset (Type I) insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus in Europe, EURODIAB collaborative group 1988 established prospective, geographically-defined registers all children diagnosed with Type I under 15 years age. This report is based on 24 423 children, registered by 36 centres, complete participation during period 1989–1998 and representing most European countries a population coverage approximately 20 million children.
