摘要: BACKGROUND Diabetes mellitus is a serious, costly and growing public health problem. Very few studies have been published on the economic impact of diabetes in Israel. OBJECTIVE To estimate fund expenditures rates hospitalization for general conditions among diabetic population METHODS The total number hospitalizations Israel 1998 beneficiaries General Sick Fund (Kupat Holim Clalit) was obtained from its bureau statistics. populations were compared age gender distribution, days cost hospitalization.
