摘要: Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis is a chronic lung disease characterized by inflammation and progression to fibrosis. Anti-fibrotic efficacy of lutein was studied in mouse model bleomycin induced pulmonary The mice were orally administrated with 100 or 200 mg/kg three days prior intra-tracheal instillation on day 0 continued up 21. Total cell counts protein levels branchoalveolar lavage fluid superoxide dismutase, hydroxyproline evaluated. Treatment at prevented mortality body weight loss. Lutein administration attenuated increase total differential count myeloperoxidase, inflammatory infiltration tissue. Similarly restored dismutase activity lowered instillation. combined results revealed the protective effect suppressing inflammation, oxidative stress enhancing antioxidant potential which may helps
