摘要: Abstract This study attempts to examine the structural effects of four tourism-impact factors on total impact and local residents’ support for tourism development. To achieve above goal, five research hypotheses are proposed. Three hundred questionnaires from a mail survey randomly selected residents Norfolk/Virginia Beach/Newport News area were analyzed. A confirmatory factor analysis equation modeling procedure performed, respectively, by utilizing LISREL procedure. Four exogenous constructs dealing with economic, social, cultural, environmental impacts two endogenous constructs, including variable development analyzed procedures. In resulting model, supported. The implications practitioners academicians discussed.
