摘要: Pericardial patches are commonly used during cardiovascular surgery to close blood vessels. In arteries, accumulate arterial progenitor cells; we hypothesized that venous would cells, in the absence of pressure. We developed a novel rat inferior vena cava (IVC) venotomy model and repaired it with pericardial patch. Cells infiltrated patch form thick neointima by day 7; some cells were CD34+/VEGFR2+ CD31+/Eph‐B4+ consistent development identity healing Compared patches, had increased neointimal thickness at 7 without any pseudoaneurysms. Addition an arteriovenous fistula (AVF) increase flow on resulted reduced proliferation, but was not reversible AVF ligation. These results show venoplasty is aggressive hyperplasia.
