Enhancement of the cycling performance of Li3V2(PO4)3/C by stabilizing the crystal structure through Zn2+ doping

摘要: A series of Li3V2−2/3xZnx(PO4)3/C phases were synthesized by carbon thermal reduction assisted the ball-mill process. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed that irregular morphology pristine Li3V2(PO4)3/C could be transformed to spherical upon doping with a suitable amount zinc. The structural stability and Zn doped investigated via X-ray absorption near edge structure (XANES) spectroscopy diffraction (XRD). results revealed not only improves VO6 octahedral structures before electrochemical cycling, but also reduces degree irreversible expansion c axis crystal volume repeated cycles. Among (0 ≤ x 0.15) series, sample 0.05 atoms per formula unit best performance. Excess (x > 0.05) didn't result in further improvement performance due segregation effect inactive nature Zn.
