摘要: Abstract Purpose The safety of single-bolus etomidate to facilitate intubation in septic patients is controversial due its potential suppress adrenal steroidogenesis. purpose this study was evaluate the effects on development shock when used as an induction agent patients. Methods A multicenter, retrospective, propensity-matched cohort comparing with sepsis or severe who either received did not receive for conducted. primary outcome difference need vasopressor support within 72 hours after intubation. Secondary outcomes included use multiple vasopressors, intensive care unit length stay, and in-hospital mortality. Results total 411 were analyzed. Eighty-three matched by propensity score. There no regards (odds ratio, 0.95; 95% confidence interval, 0.52-1.76; P = .88). Furthermore, there significant differences observed regard secondary outcomes, including mortality (P .76). Conclusions increase requirements
