摘要: Telepathology is the process of diagnostic histopathology performed on digital images viewed a display screen rather than by conventional glass slide light microscopy. The technology telepathology has radically improved over past 5 years so that it no longer limiting factor in process. This review looks at resources needed for dynamic and static telepathology, including image quality, computers software interfaces, means transmission human resources. It critically analyses 32 published trials some large prospective studies, all areas intraoperative frozen sections, routine referral cases. New developments, internet solutions virtual microscopy, are described there analysis economics within health care systems. concludes necessary available, strong evidence accuracy comparable with diagnosis, many contexts clear-cut economic argument favour technique should now be integrated into mainstream histopathology.
