摘要: This study investigates the caregiving expectations of a group nineteen older Spanish speakers living in Australia from perspective familism. Speakers participated audio-recorded interviews about their late life and four key themes were identified: (1) tension between value familism self-reliance approach encouraged Australian society; (2) fear burdening “westernized” children, which resulted shifted care expectations; (3) ending up an aged facility; (4) importance religion coping with uncertainty future arrangements.
