摘要: Abstract Nasonia, a genus of parasitoid wasps, is promising model system in the study developmental and evolutionary genetics, as well complex traits such learning. Of these “jewel wasps”, species Nasonia vitripennis widely spread studied. To accelerate neuroscientific research this species, fundamental knowledge its nervous needed. end, we present an average standard brain recently eclosed naive female N. vitripennis wasps obtained by iterative shape averaging method. This “Jewel Wasp Standard Brain” includes optic lobe (excluding lamina), anterior tubercle, antennal lobe, lateral horn, mushroom body, central complex, remaining unclassified neuropils brain. Furthermore, briefly describe well-defined their subregions A volumetric analysis discussed context brains other insect species. The Jewel Brain will provide framework to integrate consolidate results future neurobiological studies N. vitripennis. In addition, provides baseline for work on age- experience-dependent plasticity.
