摘要: Abstract A series of segmented polydimethylsiloxane based poly(urethane-urea) copolymers (PDMSPU) varied hard segment contents were prepared by moisture curing prepolymers isophorone diisocyanate capped polydimethylsiloxane. Quantitative analysis hydrogen bonding characteristics the was conducted using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The carbonyl stretching bands deconvoluted into components corresponding to different free and bonded groups. studies revealed presence unusually ordered urea domains in evidenced from peaks at 1622–1632 cm −1 , despite hitherto reported constraints such domain formation these copolymers. This turn manifested appearance crystalline wide angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD) profiles copolymers, which could also be directly visualized scanning electron microscopy (SEM) polarized optical (POM) studies. effect morphological features on thermomechanical properties investigated dynamic mechanical analysis, tensile testing hardness measurements. good correlation between established.
