摘要: PURPOSE: To characterize, compare and classify the performance of 2nd to 5th grade students from public schools according semiology spelling errors. METHODS: Participants were 120 grades a school in Marilia (SP), Brazil, 30 each grade, who divided into four groups: GI (2nd grade), GII (3rd GIII (4th GIV (5th grade). The tasks Pro-Ortografia test applied: collective version (writing alphabet letters, randomized dictation words dictation, nonwords with pictures, thematic writing induced by picture) individual (dictation sentences, purposeful error, spelled orthographic lexical memory). RESULTS: Significant difference was found between-group comparison indicating better every subsequent most tasks. With increase level, groups decreased average CONCLUSION: profile acquisition Portuguese system these indicates normal development this population.
