摘要: Abstract Californium-252 ( 252 Cf) brachytherapy sources emit both neutrons and photons, have the potential to vastly improve current standard-of-practice for brachytherapy. While hydrogenous materials readily attenuate Cf fission energy neutrons, high- Z are utilized gamma-rays. These differences in shielding may be exploited when treating with a vaginal applicator possibly patient survival through perturbation of vivo linear transfer radiation.
